Midway Hollow Whole Home Remodel and Addition
With their children grown and out of the nest, the couple in this 1950s bungalow knew it was time to update their home to enjoy this next chapter in their lives in a more functional space that matched their modern style. No detail (or furry companion) was overlooked — the beautiful pine wraparound deck even has a step-up doggie door! Meanwhile, the human homeowners appreciate the large glass sliding doors at the kitchen and master bedroom that let in natural light and allow backyard views.
We created the open-concept space in the kitchen and living room the homeowners always wanted by removing a wall. The kitchen features drawers in the center island for a convenient place to store cooking supplies, dishes, or even a bulky appliance. The upper cabinets that reach the ceiling further ensure they’ll have a place for everything. The home’s new addition provides even more space, including two functional and fabulous bathrooms with modern features like an elongated, vertically stacked subway tile.
